A Sugar Plum Summer!
An Adventure through the Magical Lands of theNutcracker
For Dancers Ages 5-7

Embark on a whimsical journey through the enchanting lands of the Nutcracker in our "Sugar Plum Summer" workshop! Let your child's imagination soar as they explore the magic of dance and creativity.
🍬 Sweet Ballet Beginnings: Start your adventure with the sweetness of ballet, learning graceful movements inspired by the Sugar Plum Fairy herself.
🎩 Magical Character Choreography: Transform into characters from the Nutcracker story, from toy soldiers to elegant snowflakes, as we bring the magical tale to life through dance.
🌟 Enchanted Performance: This workshop is also a preparation for the kids interested in being cast in the Nutcracker! Magical Chrismas Ballet performance, happening at the end of the year. Students will have the unique opportunity to perform alongside a professional ballet company comprised of top artists from around the globe, including Ukraine, Tokyo, Italy, Russia, Kazakhstan, Poland, Germany, and more. Many of our students have performed side-by-side with these professionals in roles tailored just for them! Our summer programs are also designed to prepare kids for these coveted Nutcracker roles, eliminating the need for auditions. Sign them up this summer and let them embark on a journey to shine in the Nutcracker without the stress of auditioning! 🌟(not required, but highly encouraged!)

Dances Around the World A Multicultural Approach to Dance

🌍 Welcome to the Around the World Kids Dance Summer Workshop! 🌍
Embark on a thrilling journey of dance and discovery with our "Dances Around The World" workshop! This immersive experience will take them on a global adventure through the vibrant rhythms and movements of different cultures.
💃 Cultural Exploration: Dive into the rich tapestry of world dance as we learn traditional and contemporary styles from countries across the globe, including ballet from Europe, capoeira from Brazil, dances from China, and more!
🌟 Creative Expression: Unleash your child's creativity as they choreograph their own dances inspired by the diverse cultures and rhythms they encounter, fostering confidence and self-expression.

These workshops are led by Julia Lauany Duarte, Rocky Mountain Ballet Theatre international faculty from Brazil. Julia is currently working towards a Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis on Dance and Fine Arts from the University of Montana. Julia is an experienced dance teacher and heading up the young child division of the RMBT school.
